About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic RN Director – Emergency Room to lead Emergency Department operations at Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, staff development, quality initiatives, patient safety, and departmental performance within a fast-paced Emergency Services environment. The Director will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to drive operational excellence, improve patient outcomes, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department (ER) environment.
  • Previous management or leadership experience required.
  • Active Permanent Multi-State Registered Nurse (RN) License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) requirements. Candidates holding an RN license from another compact state must obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within thirty (30) days if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required within five (5) years of hire.
  • Progressive leadership experience within Emergency Services.
  • Experience leading quality improvement, patient throughput, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong communication, team-building, and physician relationship management skills.

  • Supporting departmental growth while maintaining exceptional standards of emergency care.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ranging from approximately $125,000 to $190,000 annually based on experience
  • $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates
