As a caregiver on H51, you are provided invaluable experience caring for patients with complicated medical histories, complex dressings, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. One of the few nursing units in the world dedicated almost exclusively to the care of colorectal surgery patients, H51 caregivers have pioneered curative surgeries for ulcerative colitis and colon cancer. Our veteran nursing staff is excited to educate and mentor the nurses and caregivers of tomorrow.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One-year of current acute care RN experience.
• Will consider military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
