RN - Dialysis - Canby Medical Center - Part Time
About The Position

We’re looking for a dedicated RN to join our Dialysis Team at Canby Outpatient Dialysis at Canby Medical Center in Canby, MN. This is a part-time position, working one day per week, approximately 12 hours per week. The position will require working every 3rd Saturday, with the clinic closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We provide comprehensive training and support, including a dialysis-specific online course and hands-on orientation, with training expected to take approximately 12 weeks.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to dialysis patients.
- Coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, and various other nursing interventions.
- Collaborating with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate dialysis care.
- Demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned dialysis clinical setting.
- Functioning within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
- Documenting patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided in compliance with applicable standards/regulations.
- Utilizing technology to enhance quality patient care, to collaborate with physicians and inter-professional team members.
- Effectively delegating to and supervising unlicensed personnel, assuming overall nursing accountability for patient care.
