About The Position

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical support for individuals receiving dialysis treatment while working closely with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for a nurse who values relationship-based care, strong clinical assessment skills, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients managing chronic kidney disease. Requirements

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse license required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to manage multiple patient needs while maintaining attention to detail

  • Previous dialysis or nephrology experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct nursing care to patients receiving dialysis treatments, including patient assessment, monitoring during treatment, medication administration, and patient education.
  • Evaluates patient conditions, recognizes and responds to changes in status, and collaborates with providers to support individualized care plans.
  • Initiates and discontinues dialysis treatments.
  • Monitors dialysis equipment and treatment parameters.
  • Documents patient care accurately within the electronic medical record.
  • Ensures compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.
  • Educates patients and families on treatment plans, medications, dietary considerations, and ongoing disease management.
  • Works closely with dialysis technicians, providers, and other clinical team members to support efficient operations and ensure a safe, supportive environment for patients throughout their treatment experience.
