About The Position

Day Surgery Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Are you seeking a place that fosters an environment of dynamic learning, mentoring, and supporting each team member. Are you looking to build on your skills as a nurse to be in a state-of-the-art facility? Patient Population: Surgical, procedural patients. Pre and Post GI and IR patients, ortho, breast reconstruction, GYN, urology, colorectal Patient Ratio: 1:4. Typical census 30-35 patients per day. Number of Rooms: 31

Requirements

Day Surgery RN experience preferred or a min of 8 years of in patient RN experience required.
Strong IV skills and ability to work in a busy fast paced, environment
Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.
Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.
Effective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial.
Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.
Basic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments.
Accredited program
A major focus or specialization in Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than a (1) one year would suffice.
