About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to join a high-acuity surgical team for a 13-week travel assignment in Cincinnati. The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for patients undergoing open-heart and vascular procedures and thrives in a fast-paced team environment. This is a 13-week contract with four (4) 10-hour shifts per week. Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call is required, with call-back compensation provided.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Ohio or compact state license).
- Minimum two years of recent CVOR experience.
- Recent open-heart experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to take call and respond within the hospital’s required timeframe.
Nice To Haves
- Scrub experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Circulate cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Assist with CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, thoracic, and vascular cases.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical technologists.
- Participate in emergency and after-hours cases while on call.
- Document care accurately according to hospital standards.
