About The Position

The RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The RN creates a positive customer service environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 0630–1500, with call every other day and every other weekend, with a goal of reducing call to every third day and weekend.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.
• ADN or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient needs.
• Implement appropriate interventions, considering the needs of patient populations within the department’s scope of service.
• Delegate nursing care activities and provide supervision.
• Establish and maintain a plan for the delivery of nursing care.
• Ensure nursing care interventions and activities are directed toward resolving problems.
• Perform technical aspects of care competently.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Create a positive customer service environment.
