About The Position

A leading acute care hospital in Delaware is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR to join its Open Heart Operating Room team. The ideal candidate is a patient-focused, collaborative professional with strong cardiovascular operating room experience who thrives in a high-acuity surgical environment. This role is primarily day shift, Monday–Friday, with flexibility required for mid-shifts and Open Heart call coverage.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
• Cardiac Open-Heart surgical experience required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred (candidates willing to obtain within three years may be considered)

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular operating room nursing care for open-heart procedures
• Deliver direct patient care throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies
• Participate in Open Heart call rotations
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members as needed
