About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN – Critical Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY. This is a contract position for 14 weeks, with a Day Shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, working 3 days per week.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN License
- Active BLS Certification
- Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience within the last 2 years
- Experience in an acute care hospital of similar size and level
- Strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience
- Previous EPIC EMR experience
- Travel nursing experience in large acute care hospitals
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Adult ICU/Critical Care units
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor critically ill patients and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment and devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital compliance standards
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
- Support rapid response and emergency situations in acute care settings
