About The Position

Join a dynamic Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse as a Critical Care Registered Nurse. Deliver high-level care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced skills and technology to support critically ill patients. This is a full-time contract position for 13 weeks with potential for extension, offering a competitive hourly rate of $68/hr. The role involves providing direct, evidence-based nursing care, monitoring complex patient data, operating specialized equipment, administering medications, collaborating with the healthcare team, documenting in EPIC, responding to emergencies, and educating patients and families.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
• Active New York State RN License.
• Current BLS & PALS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
• Strong EMR experience (EPIC proficiency essential).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data and vital signs.
• Operate and manage specialized critical care equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team.
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC.
