About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care and care coordination for incarcerated individuals at Macomb Correctional in Lenox Township, Michigan. The Corrections RN works inside a correctional facility and follows ATC Healthcare Services and client policies and procedures. Shifts are 5:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m. The role offers compensation of $64 per hour. The nurse completes assessments, refers individuals for medical evaluation when needed, dispenses medications, and monitors medical compliance. The role requires support for the three FDA-approved medications used to treat opioid use disorder, effective verbal and written communication, and use of an electronic record. The RN maintains confidentiality under HIPAA and provides culturally responsive, age-appropriate, nonjudgmental, and nondiscriminatory care that preserves patient autonomy, rights, and dignity. The position reports to the franchise owner/manager or designee and to client supervisors and managers. Employment requires an active, current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice; at least one year of experience; current American Heart Association BLS-level health provider CPR; and screening and health credentials required by the contract. These may include background and exclusion-list screening, hepatitis B documentation or declination, tuberculosis screening, drug screening, and additional contract-designated credentials. The work takes place in a correctional setting and may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. The job may require reading medical equipment and documents and pushing carts and medical equipment. A physical examination may be required by some states or clients. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program at the Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse level, as required by the contract.
Active, current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice.
At least one year of experience.
Current American Heart Association health provider CPR at the BLS level.
Background screening and OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screening as required by the contract.
Hepatitis B statement or declination under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030(f)(2).
Tuberculosis screening, including an initial baseline test before placement at the facility; some facilities may require a two-step PPD, and a Quantiferon Gold or T-spot test may be used instead of a TB skin test.
Drug screening as required by the contract.
Additional credentials as designated by the contract.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and use an electronic record.
Ability to read medical equipment and documents.
Ability to push carts and medical equipment when required.
