About The Position
Critical Care Nurses (ICU/CCU) provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
Requirements
- Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- A valid professional license within the state of practice or nurse licensure compact.
- Critical care experience in a hospital setting.
- Proof of right to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepares and administers medications and records prescribed medications.
- Initiates patient education plans, teaching patients how to manage their illness/injury.
- Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
- Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and records electronic displays.
