About The Position

Cardiac Care Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a temp-to-permanent travel assignment. This position requires the candidate to reside more than 100 miles from the facility. The contract is for a maximum of 13 weeks, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in caring for high-acuity cardiac patients, including those undergoing surgeries and procedures.
• Proven ability to handle complex patient assignments and acute care situations.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with ventricular assist devices (VADs) is preferred; orientation will be provided for candidates with prior experience with specific types of VADs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to cardiac patients, including those in critical condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including pressors and sedation protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on their response.
• Care for intubated patients and ensure compliance with sedation and titration protocols.
• Utilize specific ventilators and infusion pumps, including Trilogy and Servo devices, as required.
• Document patient care and assessments in the electronic medical record system (EPIC).
• Possibly float to other units as needed, depending on patient care demands.
