Requirements

• 1 year nursing cardiac specialty experience.
• Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
• Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates assessment and evaluation of patient for proper care services including but not limited to tests, procedures, diagnostic labs.
• Coordinates and assures thorough and consistent follow-up care of the cardiac patient with the appropriate care providers
• Assists nursing units in the care of cardiac patients to ensure proper admission and care of the hospitalized patient.
• Assess potential learning problems (language barrier, readiness to learn, etc.) and structures teaching sessions to meet individual needs.
• Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age-specific needs.
• Provides education about cardiac services to the patients and families along with the community at large.
