About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/customer driven approach.

Requirements

  • Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Or Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
  • Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
  • Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
  • Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
  • Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
  • Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
  • Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Incorporates Performance Improvement and Evidenced Based Practice into individual professional practice.
  • Provides age-appropriate care to: Adult, Geriatric.
  • Uses resources efficiently.
