About The Position

As our Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will help frontline caregivers and patients so they can achieve the highest degree of quality care within an environment that supports professional growth and clinical excellence. Every day you will oversee nursing and support staff across inpatient, emergency, and skilled nursing units, serving as the critical link between caregivers and hospital leadership. You will be expected to mentor staff, implement clinical initiatives, and role-model ethical and moral principles to ensure every patient interaction is safe and compassionate. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration skills, a deep understanding of evidence-based clinical practices, and the ability to advocate for both the needs of the patient and the nursing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in North Dakota. North Dakota is a compact state
  • BLS certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR/PRO, must say “Professional Level-with AED,” and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required upon hire
  • 2 years of clinical nurse experience
  • Must possess strong knowledge of inpatient nursing, nursing administration, applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good communication skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate person traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, and performance management, while providing direct functional and technical guidance to team members
  • Direct staffing allocations to meet patient and unit demands across multiple departments, ensuring consistent coverage through collaborative resource planning
  • Drive clinical excellence by monitoring patient engagement, safety, and quality initiatives, while ensuring all practices align with evidence-based standards
  • Coordinate operating systems, service protocols, and communication methods across multiple areas to ensure consistency and compliance with system-wide policies
  • Manage departmental resources and capital/operational budgets to provide high-quality services at a reasonable cost while hitting defined performance benchmarks
  • Partner with diverse healthcare disciplines to coordinate patient care and ensure strict adherence to Joint Commission, federal, and state regulatory requirements
