About The Position

Spring Valley Hospice is seeking a passionate, dedicated Hospice Clinical Supervisor to join our team in Tupelo, MS. This role ensures high-quality patient care by overseeing hospice staff, coordinating services, and guiding clinical decisions. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of operation.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospice or home care setting required.
  • Current CPR certification, maintained in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured per state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, nursing judgment, and communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Understands the hospice philosophy and the emotional, clinical, and ethical considerations surrounding end-of-life care.
  • Knowledge of pain and symptom management principles.
  • Adheres to accepted professional standards and practices.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and thorough documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review new patient referrals and determine care needs; assign appropriate hospice staff.
  • Support and guide clinical staff through home visits, case reviews, and real-time consultations.
  • Help develop patient care plans, set treatment goals, and prioritize care.
  • Lead and participate in team case conferences to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Conduct regular chart audits and provide feedback for quality improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical team members.
  • Support staff development and continuing education programs.
  • Assist in policy development and uphold professional care standards.
  • Engage in community outreach and promote the hospice’s mission and services.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals.
