About The Position

RN Clinical Supervisor of the GI Lab at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts (7:30am-4pm). No weekends or Call rotation in this position. The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. CSs scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required. Requirements

  • California Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • ANCC recognized specialty certification (or within 1 year of hire). For clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022 who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.
  • 1 year Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area (GI / Endoscopy / Operating Room).
  • 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Shared Governance experience.
