RN, Clinical Supervisor, Acute Orthopedic Unit
About The Position
Orthopedic unit where everything – including the furnishings and equipment – is specifically geared to each patient’s unique needs. The unit’s Total Joint Practice Specialists provide a pre-operative Total Joint Education Program (both in-person and online). Our diverse patient population ranges from age 15 to 99+ and consists of:• Elective total joint patients • Orthopedic trauma patients• Elective spinal surgical patients• General med/surg patientsNorthside Hospital is award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing. Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today. The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty ORBachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
- Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
- Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
Nice To Haves
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
