About The Position

The RN Clinical Services Lead is part of the leadership team and recognized as a clinical expert in one or more functional areas, providing leadership, knowledge, experience and research expertise to the team. This position leads or directs the work to ensure the overall movement of patients throughout the unit is managed in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures. This position also facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations and collaborates with the unit manager and educator to monitor and maintain staff performance and outcomes. In addition, this position supports team members in alignment with HHC’s vision, core values and leadership behaviors. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing Education
  • 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required
  • BLS required
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and effective care within the structure of a collaborative health team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of requirements by federal, state or regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of high reliability organizations (HRO) and LEAN process improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to lifelong learning as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of acute care charge or preceptor experience preferred
  • Other certifications may be required in specific specialties
