This role is for an RN Clinical Manager in Med Surg and Telemetry. The position requires a leader who is passionate about patient care and building excellent care teams. The manager will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, direct, and indirect patient-centered care, fostering a positive mindset, and leading a team dedicated to service. Requirements

Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
5 years of experience in professional nursing.

Responsibilities

Manage the operational and fiscal responsibilities of the department or unit.
Initiate processes to assure the highest quality of patient care using a participative approach.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Maintain standards of team accountability for hospital policies and procedures in the delivery of care.
Act as a liaison and interact effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families to promote excellence in patient and customer relations.
Maintain a close working relationship with other hospital managers and serve on committees.
Manage and coordinate quality assurance program improvement on the assigned unit.
Promote a safe environment and complete safety reports regarding employee or patient injury, ensuring proper follow-up.
Participate in budget planning and manage cost containment practices.
Assimilate evidence-based practices and safety protocols into patient care.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Update policies and procedures as warranted.
Evaluate staff work performance.
Coordinate new employee orientation.
Interview, hire, counsel, and terminate employees.
