About The Position

The RN - Clinical Educator shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of staff education programs for assigned units with regard to current standards of care and practice, changing technology, and identified quality improvement opportunities. In addition, this individual is responsible to coordinate orientation for all new employees within defined clinical practice areas, and to ensure the validation of competency of staff upon employment and ongoing with accurate record keeping within the assigned areas. The maintenance of clinical proficiency is a must and direct patient care may be included in this role, as needed. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

• Valid RN licensure required
• BLS required
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience required
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Strong oral and written skills required.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities required.
• Must be self directed and able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned
