Per diem RN Clinical Educator - Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Pearland, TX
About The Position
The Clinical Educator is responsible for the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational programs to meet the educational needs of nursing services and the professional development of nursing staff. This role involves collaborating with managers, nurse supervisors, clinical educators, and staff to assess learning needs and evaluate competencies. The educator will develop and implement education plans using adult learning theory, and create methods to evaluate learning goals and program effectiveness. This position also supports clinic goals, quality improvement, and risk management, while providing and supporting Continuing Nurse Education and maintaining the clinic's status as an approved provider.
Requirements
- RN & BSN
- Valid and current RN license
- Current BLS
- 3+ years clinical experience
- Experience in education
- Experience in patient or staff education
- Clinical expert in core skills
- Proven solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proven windows based computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Masters in nursing or education
- BLS instructor
- KSC experience or ambulatory care experience
- Experienced educator
- CRT experience
- Program development skills
- Experience in creating an approved nurse continuing education program
- Clinical expert in advanced skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with managers, nurse supervisors, clinical educators, and staff to assess learning needs and evaluate competencies of the nursing staff
- Develops and implements education plans/programs for the clinics utilizing adult learning theory
- Develops and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals, effectiveness of program content, and the success of teaching strategies
- Supports KS clinics in achieving their goals while contributing to ongoing quality improvement and risk management
- Providing and supporting Continuing Nurse Education and maintaining Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's status as an approved Continuing Nurse Education provider
