About The Position

In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will: Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line. Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties. Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

  • RN License required
  • Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multi state license, the former license is inactivated.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • ACLS and NIHSS required within six months of hire or transfer
  • One year RN experience required
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
