About The Position

We are looking for an RN who will be responsible for providing care coordination, quality education, follow-up guidance, and emotional support to a diverse patient population requiring systemic cancer therapy (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy). You will collaborate with providers and health system infrastructure to expedite diagnosis and treatment, supporting the patient throughout each aspect of care. You will exercise independent judgment in the assessment of patient needs. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, while demonstrating expertise and current knowledge of disease specialty. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days
  • CRT-Oncology Nursing Society - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate course completion required for RNs working in departments where chemotherapy/immunotherapy is administered. Radiation Therapy certificate course is required for RNs working in radiation departments. 1 Year

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
  • CRT-Oncology Certified Nurse - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation OCN Certification (or other applicable Oncology specialty/leadership certification) preferred. 1 Year

  • Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
  • Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
