About The Position

The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Hospital, a Magnet® designated hospital, is a verified American College of Surgeons’ Level I Trauma Center. It is a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and a cardiac receiving center. This is a high-volume ED treating a variety of medical and cardiac conditions with 46 beds and approximately 58,000 visits per year. It is the home of Flight for Life® Colorado and serves surrounding areas, bringing around 1,000 patients from medical to trauma. The department is recognized as a Premier Level I ED, an Emergency Services Association Lantern Award recipient, and an exemplary model department recognized on a national level as being in the top one percent. The hospital seeks candidates with strong teamwork capabilities, collaboration, flexibility, and servant leadership, who can foster a warm and caring environment. As an RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead, you will serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, and perform shift charge duties. You will demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ensure high-quality care delivery to each patient. You will act as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. You will maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. You will provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates. You will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing. You will promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will actively serve on the unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity. You will be personally accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

  • At least six months of direct RN experience (for sign-on bonus eligibility).
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates.
  • One year recent RN ED experience.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • BLS from AHA.
  • ACLS from AHA.
  • ENPC or PALS required.
  • NIHSS required.
  • NRP required.
  • TNCC required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs.
