About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in an outpatient clinic setting within the Gastroenterology department at St. Vincent Medical Group in Indianapolis, IN. The position is part-time. The RN will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care among different disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
RN with 2-3 years working in an outpatient clinic with scheduling and prior authorization experience.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
