About The Position

The RN Clinic, Velva provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan within a rural community clinic setting that values teamwork and strong provider collaboration. This role performs patient assessments, administers treatments, and supports chronic disease management while coordinating diagnostic testing and follow-up care to promote continuity and quality outcomes. Working closely with providers and clinic staff, the RN helps maintain efficient patient flow, delivers clear patient education, and contributes to a respectful, supportive care environment. This position plays an important role in supporting Trinity Health’s commitment to accessible, community-based primary care services through safe, patient-centered, and compliant clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  • BLS certification required within orientation period.
  • Ongoing point of care certifications as required for department, required within orientation period.
  • RN program as evidenced by licensure.
  • May include travel to satellite clinics.
  • Computer and keyboard skills
  • Trinity community clinics draw and package lab tests.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, and fine motor skills are necessary for performing assessments, administering injections, and documenting accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • One year or more of professional nursing experience, preferred.
  • Clinic experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform focused assessments, administer ordered treatments, and assist providers during examinations and minor in-clinic procedures.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing, immunizations, referrals, imaging, and follow-up appointments to support comprehensive primary care.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient education in the electronic health record in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding medications, chronic condition management, preventive care, and care plans.
  • Collaborate with providers, schedulers, and interdisciplinary partners to address patient needs, support care continuity, and respond to acute concerns.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, maintain competency in point-of-care testing, and complete required departmental training.
