About The Position

The RN Clinic, Occupational Medicine provides clinical support and nursing services for patients receiving work-related health assessments, injury care, and preventive screenings within the outpatient clinic setting. This role conducts focused evaluations, assists with regulatory and employer-required testing, and delivers education to promote safe return-to-work practices and ongoing employee wellness. Working collaboratively with providers, case managers, employers, and clinic staff, the RN helps ensure accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and coordinated care delivery. The position functions within a supportive, team-oriented occupational health environment where communication, organization, and shared accountability are essential. Requirements

  • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  • CPR required within orientation period.
  • Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period.
  • RN program as evidenced by licensure.
  • One year or more of professional nursing experience preferred.
  • Clinic experience preferred.
  • Coding experience preferred.
  • May include travel to satellites.
  • Computer use.
  • Trinity community clinics draw and package lab tests.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments, administer ordered treatments, and assist providers in delivering care for work-related injuries, exposures, and preventive services.
  • Coordinate drug screenings, physicals, immunizations, respirator fit testing, and other occupational health evaluations to meet regulatory and employer requirements.
  • Collect, package, and process laboratory specimens and maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record and required occupational health platforms.
  • Educate patients on injury care, work restrictions, follow-up instructions, and preventive health measures relevant to occupational wellness.
  • Collaborate with providers, employers, case management, and ancillary teams to support appropriate return-to-work planning and continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, maintain competency in point-of-care testing, and support ongoing training to ensure compliance with occupational health standards.
