The role includes nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and coordination of care for patients and their families. The OBGYN Department is composed of the Antenatal, Gynecological Procedure Unit, and GYN specialty including Oncology, Reproductive Endo GYN, Prenatal, including Maternal Fetal Medicine, as well as general GYN. Across all services, the department schedules around 350–400 patients daily; the work that happens in these areas is supported by the RN team. The clinic has 36 rooms, including 4 NST bays and 7 US rooms, and sees a daily average of 305 patients, with about 75% requiring RN support.
