About The Position

This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday generally from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. This is a partially remote position with training full time on site. After training, the schedule will be as follows: Mondays & Fridays @ Hillcrest, Wednesdays @ Scripps Cancer Center - La Jolla, Tuesdays & Thursdays @ Remote - subject to coming on site as needed. Requirements

  • ADN or Nursing Diploma
  • CA RN license
  • BLS from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Approximately 65%25 direct, face-to-face patient care and 35%25 administrative responsibilities, including In Basket management, telephone support, patient triage, and related duties.
  • Rooming and supporting MD in clinic procedures as needed.
  • Conduct patient assessments and provide clinical triage support.
  • Manage and respond to patient portal messages in a timely, professional manner.
  • Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
  • Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
  • Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
