About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with Russellville Hospital, located in Russellville, AL to hire a compassionate and skilled Operating Room Circulator RN to join their Surgical Services team. As an RN Circulator, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care throughout every phase of surgery — from pre-op to post-op — while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team. You’ll help maintain sterile technique, ensure surgical readiness, and support safe, positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced OR environment.

Requirements

Current Alabama RN license (or compact equivalent)
BLS required
Hospital-based ACLS and PALS required
3+ months of nursing experience preferred
OR experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care for patients of all ages
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and supplies
Support surgical and anesthesia teams before, during and after procedures
Perform accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts in accordance with AORN standards
Properly handle and label surgical specimens
Maintain up-to-date surgeon preference cards and surgical readiness
Mentor and support new staff and nursing students
Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
