RN, Circulating PRN (Frisco Campus)
About The Position
Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position is located at the Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical Center and is PRN (as needed) for Monday - Friday day shifts. The role involves demonstrating the ability to quickly assess and problem-solve complex situations. The professional caregiver assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, providing quality care within a designated time frame. This includes prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for patients in Neurology, which encompasses infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents with medical, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as children with developmental disabilities. The role also involves case managing the neurology and rehab medicine patient population and coordinating out-patient clinics. Additionally, the position assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Hold current Texas RN license or is eligible for reciprocity and holds a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice professional nursing
- Current CPR certification required
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to quickly assess and problem solve complex situations
- Prescribes delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided in Neurology, which cares for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, adolescents, with both medical and surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as, children with developmental disabilities
- Case manages the neurology and rehab medicine patient population
- Coordinates out-patient clinics
- Professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame and provides quality care to these patients
- Assists in maintaining a clean, safe and therapeutic environment
