About The Position

This role involves organizing and providing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN will act as a team leader, delegating tasks to other nursing personnel based on their qualifications and job descriptions. The position contributes to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, serving the community. The role also ensures compliance with Joint Commission requirements and other applicable regulatory agencies. Direct patient care will be provided to acute mental health patients, with support for families through education and updates.

Requirements

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Nice To Haves

• Behavioral health experience as an RN, BHT, or intern/capstone student

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Act as a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• Contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community.
• Meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
• Provide direct patient care to acute mental health patients as well as supporting the family by providing education and updates.
