Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
  • A current valid RN license or registration in the state where employed.
  • Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
  • Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • Not found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Proficient in using nursing software.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
  • Commitment to promoting residents' rights and dignity.
  • Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certification in nursing specialty desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the holistic care of each resident within our facility.
  • Effective communication with floor staff and the administrative team to ensure the continuity of quality care.
  • Conduct regular rounds, evaluate the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, and ensuring these needs are met through your dedicated team.
  • Assess the competency of staff in delivering care and implement necessary interventions.
  • Preparing and administering medications.
  • Consulting with physicians.
  • Diligently documenting care as per facility protocols.
  • Review care plans and ensure adherence to them.
  • Participating in evaluations of your team members and contributing to staff meetings and in-services.
