RN Charge Nurse (Days & Nights)
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced RN Charge Nurse with critical care experience to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a strong clinical leader who is comfortable working in a critical care environment and supporting the nursing team while ensuring high-quality, compassionate patient care. As an RN Charge Nurse, you will have the opportunity to utilize your critical care experience, leadership abilities, and nursing skills while playing an important role on our multidisciplinary team. Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in critical care, ICU, LTAC, or a similar acute-care setting
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to lead, support, and provide direction to nursing staff
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Knowledge of patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff during the shift.
- Coordinate patient assignments based on staffing and patient acuity.
- Monitor and assist with the care of critically ill patients.
- Respond to emergencies and changes in patient conditions.
- Serve as a clinical resource for RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.
- Ensure nursing documentation and patient care meet hospital policies and standards.
- Promote patient safety, teamwork, compliance, and quality patient care.
