About The Position

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a Full Time RN Charge Nurse for the Cardiac ICU. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week on nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM. The role is responsible for leading daily shift operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and an exceptional patient experience. This includes overseeing staffing, patient assignments, and resource allocation based on patient acuity and operational needs. The Charge Nurse will coordinate patient care and throughput with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, serve as a clinical resource, provide direct patient care, mentor staff, and support evidence-based practice. Additionally, the role promotes a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while supporting team engagement, professional development, retention, and an inclusive work environment. Compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and readiness requirements is also a key responsibility, along with modeling the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health and Orlando Health.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit/department.
  • Maintains current State of Alabama RN license
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • 1 year experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Cardiac ICU preferred.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
