About The Position
Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is a 193-bed, acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. This Magnet®-designated facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients and is one of four recipients of the Truven Health Advantage Award in the category of Health and Clinical Outcomes. Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or equivalent.
- 2 years of relevant experience recent nursing experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Upon Hire

- For new hires or recent promotions with ADN or Diploma, must complete BSN within 5 years of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct oversight and supervision of all on line unit processes.
- Manage staffing and scheduling changes affecting the current shift.
- Address patient care issues and concerns.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of resources.
- Respond to all codes.
- Handle employee issues and concerns.
- Ensure consistent flow of patients through the department.
- Function within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital.
- Demonstrate growth/development.
