About The Position

RN opportunity on CCU, 9 CST ICU, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Primarily evening/night shift with weekend rotation. Relocation allowance available. CCU consists of 12 beds serving patients 18 years and older. Our critical care nurses practice in a setting where patients require complex ongoing assessment, multiple therapies and interventions. The unit comprised mostly of patients with illness/injury resulting from acute myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, life threatening arrhythmias and cardiac arrest. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
AHA BLS-HCP required.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
