Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Experience in a hospital-based acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring
- Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and procedural complications
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization equipment, procedures, and sterile techniques
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

- Moderate Sedation Certification
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Prior travel experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assess patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Administer medications, moderate sedation, and contrast agents per physician orders and facility protocols
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other cardiovascular procedures
- Monitor and manage patient recovery following procedures and respond to complications as needed
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and procedural outcomes
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in emergency response situations and maintain readiness for on-call responsibilities as required
