About The Position

A Registered Nurse who provides individualized care to patients require angiographic diagnostic evaluation and possible intervention. Emphasis is placed on assessment of healthcare needs, implementation of therapeutic treatment, and anticipation, recognition, and, if necessary, intervention of adverse effects of procedures/medical conditions to assure positive patient outcomes. In addition, the angiographic CATH lab nurse provides patient/family education to promote optimal healthcare status upon discharge.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Current California Registered Nurse License.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Two years of recent Critical Care or ED Experience.
Completion of NIHSS certification.
All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
Three years of angiographic catheterization laboratory experience.
