This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab/Special Procedures unit at West Jefferson Medical Center, part of LCMC Health. Requirements

Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

Prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for patients.
Explaining procedures to patients and families as appropriate.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and working alongside physicians to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
Maintaining and advocating a safe environment for everyone.
Monitoring and engaging with patients, families, and appropriate care team members concerning significant events, patient condition changes, or patient questions and concerns.
Monitoring and executing Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
Ensuring continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
Advising and consulting with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.
Initiating patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services.
Contributing to the team by assisting others without being asked.
