About The Position

This role assumes full nursing responsibility for the delivery of the Plan of Care for each hospice patient. The individual will continuously evaluate personal and professional performance, making necessary changes to increase productivity and quality of care delivered. Adherence to and support of the policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of hospice are essential to assure quality patient care. The position requires striving for independence and sound critical decision-making regarding patient care delivery in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality. The Plan of Care will be developed in collaboration with other professionals, and treatment strategies will be implemented based on scientific nursing theory to promote physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Maintaining patient confidentiality is paramount. Familiarity with the concepts and needs of patients and families facing death and dying is crucial. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
  • 1 year of Clinical Experience
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire
  • Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation. Upon Hire
