About The Position

MultiCare is seeking an RN Care Manager to join its hospital-based team. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training within a multidisciplinary approach. The position contributes to MultiCare’s goal of becoming a best-in-class nursing organization by supporting nurses’ involvement in clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or obtain one within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP).
• Current certification in a specialty field.
• Case Manager certification, highly desirable.
• Three years of recent clinical experience in the area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and monitor standards of patient care and nursing practices.
• Collect, trend, and analyze data to identify best practices and performance improvements.
• Ensure the availability and appropriate allocation of human and material resources.
• Support collaboration among nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve desired patient care outcomes and department strategic plans.
• Coordinate the overall operations of assigned units and the provision of resources.
• Facilitate optimal and cost-efficient patient care delivery.
