About The Position
This is a new 24-bed unit where nurses will have a maximum RN-to-patient ratio of 1:2. The patients cared for will range from moderate to high acuity cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, specialty consultants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, case managers, and pharmacists. The nurse will play an essential role in integrating this multidisciplinary approach into the patient's care plan.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
- Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
