About The Position

Our 2 CUB Unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high-acuity patients. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The 2 CUB (Cardiac Universal Bed Model) Unit cares for Cardiac and Vascular patients, including those with CHF, immediate post-op heart bypass and valves, encompassing Telemetry, PCU, ICU, and CVICU levels of care. The unit has 20 beds and utilizes skills leveling, caring for ICU Devices (Impella, IABP, CRRT, EKOS, lumbar drain). Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of strong Cardiac RN experience in ICU or PCU
Graduation from an Accredited Program with a specialized field of study in nursing
RN license
BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role
A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures
Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area
Understanding of hospital procedures and rules
Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and their side effects
Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
Exceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing
Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties
Excellent problem-solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking
Basic computer skills, encompassing areas such as Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email
