JOB SUMMARY Provides direct care to patients on a given unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Is responsible for managing care of assigned patients. Demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming Shift Leader responsibilities as requested and/or in preparation for advancement to Level II or Level III. Works primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations or pediatric and adolescent patients on assigned units.

Requirements

  • Current RN License in the State of Georgia as evidenced by primary source of verification
  • BLS CPR required
  • 1 or more years experience in area of specialty
  • Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
  • Successful ACLS certification within one year.

  • Participation in PI Study and Inservice Program Presentation.
