About The Position

This is a part-time position for an RN in Cardiac Imaging, working 32 hours per week. The role involves performing stress testing, patient assessment, developing and evaluating care plans, and assisting technical staff. The position requires on-call responsibilities and rotating weekend coverage. The schedule is typically Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Requirements

BLS certification
ACLS certification
Experience in Cardiac Imaging

Nursing Bachelor’s Degree
Solid Critical thinking skills
Prior Stress testing experience

Responsibilities

Perform stress testing.
Conduct patient assessment and collect health data involving the patient, family and other healthcare providers.
Develop and communicate an individualized plan of care, evaluate patient progress and document patient health data, interventions and communications.
Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, administration of medications, oxygen therapy and IV management.
Provide individualized patient and family education based on assessed learning needs.
Participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research and remain current on research and practice trends in cardiac diagnostic testing through professional networking, ongoing education and self-directed learning.
Support staff in using research and providing evidence-based care and contribute to the professional development and clinical education of peers, students and other healthcare providers.
Comply with HIPAA regulations and assist in transporting acutely ill patients as needed.
