About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician with experience in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, as well as assessing and monitoring the clinical status of patients. The ideal candidate will possess theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab, understand radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support, and be adept at communicating with the patient care team, patients, and their families.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with cardiac diagnostic and intervention procedures, implantable devices, electrophysiology (EP) mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly EPIC and Merge.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation for patients undergoing procedures.
- Assess and monitor the clinical status of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of medications relevant to the Cath Lab effectively and safely.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Implement infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide hemodynamic support as required during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the patient care team, patients, and their families.
