About The Position

The Cardiac Care and Telemetry Unit (STC2) is a 38-bed unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. This unit offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients, ranging from Adults to Geriatrics, managing stable cardiac and neurological conditions. The unit fosters strong teamwork, supportive leadership, a collaborative culture, and an environment that elevates practice. Requirements

• Graduated from an Accredited Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• 12 Months+ of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with stable cardiac medical conditions such as Cardiac Ablations, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (Watchman), Permanent Pacemaker Placement, Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Vascular Interventions, and Percutaneous Cardiac Interventions.
• Provide care for patients with stable neurological conditions such as Stable Stroke, Seizure, Weakness, and Syncope.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary services.
• Practice at the top of license while maintaining patient safety and quality.
• Contribute to a highly collaborative culture with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in shared governance and professional growth initiatives.
